Description
A seven part sonata for solo piano. All seven parts are as one piece of music, each part separated by a caesura.
The piece is meant to be entirely based on imagery. There is a wild dance of ghosts, a solemn and powerful ritual, miles of sand, and even a skeleton of some poor explorer for whom the desert was just too much.
This piece, to get the desired effects I wanted from it, went through revision after revision after revision. After all, a piano is only one instrument, but you can describe so much with it.
